This senior session was incredibly meaningful to us because we have been very close friends with Kathrine and her family for many years. It has been so special to watch her grow into the incredible, accomplished young woman she is. We can’t wait to watch her succeed in her next chapter!
As she graduates high school this May, we’d love to tell you more about her and showcase photos from her magical at-home session.
Meet Kathrine
Kathrine is a very busy and driven girl.
Her whole life she has been involved in Girl Scouts and has been awarded the Girl Scouts Gold Award. This prestigious award recognizes Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts (grades 9–12) who plan and carry out a rigorous, independent "Take Action" project that solves a deep-rooted community or global issue. With over 500 volunteer hours throughout high school, there is no doubt she earned it.
While volunteering and maintaining high grades she is also heavily involved with her high school’s golf team, National Honor Society, and horseback riding with her horse, Tucker.
She has applied to 12 colleges, although she is not sure where she’ll call home for the next four years, we’re sure she will accomplish amazing things!
The Beauty of an At-Home Photo Session
Our goal is always to capture our seniors being themselves in their most comfortable state for photos that feel personal. Taking your photos in your favorite place or at your home is the perfect way to do that.
Kathrine took her photos on her front porch, by her pond where she spent her childhood swimming and playing with her siblings, and in her horse’s pasture where she spent hours training. It is clear that this at-home session captured her personality and natural smile.
