It's Not Too Late for 2027 Senior Photos

If your senior hasn't had photos taken yet, you haven't missed your chance. Fall gets most of the attention, but plenty of seniors in the Class of 2027 still have time for a session before graduation.

Maybe fall filled up with sports, college applications, or a job. Maybe your senior didn't want photos until now. Either way, the next step is simple: pick a date and a plan that fits the time you have left.

Booking 2027 Senior Photos After Fall

The first date to check is your school's yearbook deadline, if you want a portrait in the yearbook. Each school sets its own date and photo rules, so ask the school or check its website before you book.

From there, think about what you need the photos for:

  • A yearbook portrait

  • Graduation announcements

  • Open house displays and invitations

  • Prints for family

Knowing what you need helps set the timeline. Announcements and open house plans come up quickly in the spring, so it helps to book before those are due.

What a Later Session Can Look Like

A later session doesn't have to mean a backup plan. Winter and spring each offer something different:

  • Winter: Snow, bare trees, coats, and scarves can give photos a clean, simple look. A studio with exposed brick is another option when it's too cold to stay outside.

  • Spring: New green and flowers work well for outdoor sessions, and it's a natural time for cap and gown photos.

A session can also show what senior year looked like. Seth has photographed seniors with letterman jackets, musical instruments, vintage cars, and family dogs. Akron-area locations include Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Seiberling Nature Realm, and Everett Covered Bridge.

Why It's Worth Doing

A senior portrait marks the end of one stage and the start of the next. It's also one of the few times a teenager gets photographed as they are right now, doing what they care about.

Seth has 15 years of experience photographing weddings, families, high school seniors, and professionals. He gives clear direction throughout the session, so your senior never has to wonder how to pose or what to do next.
